I'm just a little slow getting this post out. We've been having issues uploading photos but I think I've figured out a temporary solution so let's get on with

Woohooo!!

Here's a great big GGJ shout out to Kelly @ Iron Willow!!

Kelly is a super talented metal artist and her colorful, over the top style is just fabulous!!

She designs and creates each piece and even takes custom orders. In fact, she has comissioned several pieces for our own booth. If you've seen the heart with wings on our check out counter or Brenda's "Whimsy Love" sign in her area of the booth, then you have seen Kelly's handywork. She is AMAZING!

Her funky little vintage camper's are SO cool!

A rockin turquoise guitar, angel wings and roses......what more could a "Country Soul" want?? Love it!!

And how CUTE would this mermaid and starfish be on a pool house or patio??

More summer FUN!

More of her precious signs and who doesn't need a deer with a tiara?? Kinda reminds me of our Clyde!

Her metal Roses are AWESOME!

They're even magnetic so you can add them to one of her signs, your fridge or wherever. I have on on a lamp in  my studio!

Funky letters, stars, and Sweet Gypsy Rose......I love that sign!

She also makes super cute picture frames. You can see a few of them on the hutch in the background of this pic.

Iron Willow is located at the opposite end of Row 46 from our Girls Gone Junkin booth. You can't miss it!

Sweet Summertime!!

Hey Yall!!

Hope everybody's staying cool.....what in the world would we do without air conditioning? Our ancestors were tough! Or maybe we are just spoiled.....probably both :)

We are all crazy busy getting ready for Canton, which kicks off Thursday! Woohoo!! But we will be arriving a few days early to get all the Junk we're bringing for yall set up and lookin' GOOD!

In an effort to show yall a more "behind the scenes look" at GGJ, I wanted to share a quick shot of my newly madeover, summer inspired mantle.

No clue what's up with the way this photo loaded. I tried SEVEN times and this was the best I got......oh well.

And this fun shot of me, Pam and Sue shopping in Warrenton at Antiques Week back in April. We all cracked up at this sign so of course Cathy snapped a pic! Sue was trying so hard not to laugh!!

I should probably do a post on the entire trip. We had SO much fun!! And it was my first time to EVER go!! It's very addicting and we WILL be back in October! Woohooo!!!

Well, back to work!

There's still A LOT to do between now and packing time!!

Featuring Our Friends Friday No. 3

Goodmorning Friends!

Yes, I know it's actually Saturday....... but I took off yesterday to recover from our vacation to the beach....isn't it crazy how that happens. You go on vacation to get away, relax and rest. Then you come home exhausted! Oh well, we had a blast and it was much needed family time. While we were gone my oldest turned 17......SEVENTEEN!! This is the second year we've celebrated his birthday at the beach and I think he's getting a little spoiled to it :)

Ok, enough rambling about me.....onto Featuring Our Friends Friday No. 3!!

This week it's all about Caron's Cottage, owned by Caron Cable!

She is located at the south west end of Row 46, about three doors down from GGJ, and carries mostly vintage and antique furniture ranging from fine victorian antiques and rustic farm  pieces to shabby chippy garden inspired decor. I LOVE stopping in and checking out her space. I don't know how she finds so much cool stuff but let me tell you, she does!

Check out the scalloped top cabinet and the shabby pink screen door!

Wish I'd gotten a better shot of this table. The rustic base with scalloped skirting and the metal top are such a cool combination.

The detailing on this vanity is nothing short of amazing. And it's in mint condition.

And these longhorns in front of the turquoise door makes my Texas heart skip a beat. That black shelf is pretty sweet too!!

Carol always has a great selection of vintage garden accessories too!

Well, that's all for today. Blogger is being a booger and giving me fits when I try to upload pictures. Ugh!

Summer Whites

Good Morning Friends!

It has rained here two evenings in a row and while I don't DARE complain (especially after the wild fires we had last year), it does make for a thick, muggy morning after....sooooo, I'm staying INSIDE and sending out a little Summer White Junkin Love today!

This sweet sink turned planter hangs on the fence in Cathy's back yard......SO lovin this!!

If you've even visited our booth you know that we LOVE white......white clothing, white furniture, white lace, white dishes, white decor....it just goes with everything!

Here's a shot of Sue's beautiful corner. I absolutely love her style! Very shabby industrial with a little bit of garden style thrown in there......that's the best way I know to describe it. She's just so talented and I always tell her she should have been a millionaire designer....yes, she is THAT good!!

Love Love Love these!! (i have to admit i own three of these, including the one shown here.....can't resist them!)

Beautiful Brenda rockin' (no pun intended. hahahaha) one of her fabulous Whimsy Love clothing designs.......admittedly another weakness of mine :) Each month she brings in the most scrumptious, ruffled, feminine clothes you have ever laid eyes on......sooooo beautiful!

Sweet simple earring made from vintage flatware. My husband actually makes these for us, along with some AMAZING wine stops........yep, he's a talented man!

I had planned on sharing a few other pics today but Blogger is being a booger and they're just not uploading very well........maybe next time!

Yall stay cool in this heat! I'm thinkin a big glass of ice tea or a margarita sounds good about now.....well, maybe this afternoon....it IS still morning! ha!! Later sweet friends!

June Canton Recap

Hot! Hot!! Hot!!!

That pretty much sums up the weather AND the buzz of activity in our space at Canton last weekend!

Summer is definately here!!

Thank you SO much to everyone that braved the heat and came out to see us. It's always wonderful to visit with long time friends and customers, meet online friends in person and see all the smiling happy faces that come through our booth each month. Your sweet comments and encouragement are SO very much appreciated! :)



This fun group of ladies stopped by with their crazy cool hats, each one a different color. What a cute way to keep up with your "group"!

White Daisies are the perfect picture of sweet simple summer style. We paired them with a cluster vintage milk glass vases on top of a round mirror on our "june wedding" table. A super quick, easy and inexpensive centerpiece!

Author and GGJ friend, Lisa Love Harris was in the booth Friday and Saturday holding a book signing for her new murder mystery novel, First Monday Murder. The story is fiction but takes place at our very own First Monday Trade Days in Canton as one junker gets a little more than she bargained for on a "good deal"......how cool is that?!

Lisa's second book is due out this fall and hopefully she will stop back by and do this again!!

Another phone pic but I just had to stop and snap a photo of these ladies loading their truck! True junkers and as someone else commented that day

 "only women could make this work!"

The sight of them crawling all over this pile of stuff and wedging in smaller pieces, strapping it all down and getting ready to head home (which i believe was in south louisiana!!) had us all laughing so hard. It was truly priceless!

Brand New Blog!

 I'm Jenny (back right), 1/5 of this fabulous group of ladies. Biz has been CRAZY so while Cathy is still running our facebook page and sending out daily vintage junkin love to all our amazing fans,  I will be taking over the blog and bringing you the latest GGJ news, info and tons of photos on a weekly basis. 

Speaking of.....have yall seen this summer's issue of "The South's Most Scenic Drives" by Southern Living Magazine?? The GGJ gang is featured on pages 74 & 75 in addition to a few other fabulous vendors at First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas. We are beyond excited and grateful for this feature!!

Well, as this is the night before I leave for Canton, I had better get off of this computer and get my booty in gear!

All the fun at First Monday in Canton, Texas begins THIS THURSDAY! We will open around 9-ISH :)
